Damascus, June 23 (BNA) The Prime Minister of the Syrian Arab Republic, Hussein Arnous, received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Damascus, Waheed Mubarak Sayyar.
During the meeting, the Syrian Prime Minister congratulated Waheed Sayyar on his appointment as the Kingdom’s ambassador to Syria, wishing him success in his diplomatic missions. He affirmed the Syrian government’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations in the economic, commercial, investment, health, scientific, cultural and tourism fields, activating the agreements signed between the two countries and the work of the joint ministerial committee.
For his part, the ambassador affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness on the security and stability of the Syrian Arab Republic, its support for its unity and independence, and its refusal to interfere in its internal affairs. He expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for his warm reception and hospitality.
