Manama, Feb. 13 (BNA): Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, received today Speaker of Parliament Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, in the presence of Jamal Mohammed, First Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council. Fakhro.
The Speaker of the Shura Council and the Speaker of the House of Representatives affirmed that the legislative authority is inspired by the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the visions and aspirations of His Majesty the King, as it translates them into reality through carrying out its national responsibilities and duties to the fullest, indicating that the King’s directives support the success of the legislative process and open Wider prospects for cooperation and consultation with the executive authority.
They expressed their pride in the level reached by fruitful cooperation and coordination between the legislative and executive authorities, praising the steadfast interest and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
They emphasized that His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister are keen on integrating the efforts of the legislative and executive authorities to ensure the sustainability of the Kingdom’s progress and prosperity.
They also praised the members of the two-chamber National Assembly, pointing to their efforts to develop the Kingdom’s legislative system in order to support the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom for the benefit of the homeland and citizens.
The Speaker of the Shura Council and the Speaker of Parliament discussed the ongoing preparations to host the 146th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union meetings and related meetings on March 11 and 15, with the participation of heads and representatives of parliaments around the world, in addition to international parliamentary associations and organizations.
They expressed their pride in the Kingdom’s distinguished ability to host the largest parliamentary gathering, stressing that all capabilities will be harnessed to make it a success.
