Capital Governor receives Thai ambassador

Manama, Feb. 13 (BNA): The Governor of the capital, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Biapak Sricharoen. He praised the strong relations between the two countries, appreciating the efforts of the Thai ambassador in strengthening them in order to achieve common visions and aspirations.

The two sides discussed a proposal to plant 45 golden cassia trees, the national symbol of the Kingdom of Thailand, in the Capital Province on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of bilateral relations.

The governor of the capital praised the proposal, which embodies the strong friendship between the two countries and is part of the “Green Capital” and “Manama Healthy City” programs adopted by the governorate.

The meeting was attended by the Director of Information and Follow-up in the Capital Governorate, Yusuf Yaqoub Lori, and a number of officials at the Thai Embassy and the Thai Club in Bahrain.
