SCH President hails community initiatives to support diabetic children

Manama, October 11 (BNA) The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health and President of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, Lieutenant-General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, presented insulin pumps to a number of children at Salmaniya Medical Complex. Bahrain Defense Force Hospital (BDF) and King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH).

The pumps were donated by the Good Word Association, CAF Humanitarian and STC.

The President praised the role of government and private institutions in supporting humanitarian and charitable work and supporting government efforts in providing support and assistance to patients.

He stressed the importance of cooperation and support for the Bahrain Diabetes Association to play its role through its programs that aim to care for all diabetic patients, especially the provision of insulin pumps for children.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the role of government and private hospitals in providing the best health services to all patients.

The Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health and Vice President of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, Dr. Mariam Al-Hajri, expressed her appreciation to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation under the patronage of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Action and Youth Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. And follow-up of the Secretary-General of the Health Care Corporation, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed o Providing pumps for orphans and type 1 diabetics.
