Turkish gastronomy book presented to BACA president

Manama, June 29 (BNA) The President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received Turkey’s Ambassador to Bahrain Essen Shukil, who presented her with a copy of the gastronomy book “Turkish Cuisine with Immortal Recipes”.

The book was prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and supported by the Turkish Tourism Development and Promotion Agency, Turkey’s First Lady, Emine Erdoğan, oversaw the book.

The book promotes the cuisine of Turkey with special attention to the healthy and waste-free properties of Turkish cooking.

It aims to be a record of the original recipes of a rich cuisine going back centuries, and an opportunity to pass them on to future generations and become a new bridge in the field of cultural diplomacy.

Sheikha Mai thanked the ambassador for the book, saying that it reflects the richness of Turkish culture found in Arab life.

She stressed the close and deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and Turkey, and referred to many cultural issues that would enhance cultural exchanges between the two countries.

The Ambassador expressed her keen interest in strengthening relations and expanding opportunities for closer cooperation.
