Speaker highlights role of parliament in development process

Manama, June 29 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia Zainal stressed the achievements made in Bahraini parliamentary life over the past two decades and the associated practice of democracy that reflects the tremendous support provided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the House of Representatives.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, on the occasion of the International Day of Parliament, said that the national achievements came as a result of joint work, constructive cooperation and permanent coordination between the House of Representatives and the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

She added that the partnership led to achieving development goals, improving laws, and fully exercising the oversight role over the work of the executive authority.
