Two mosques restored, reopened in Arad, Muharraq

Manama, Apr. 16 (BNA): The Sunni Endowments Council announced the rehabilitation and reopening of the “Omar bin Al-Khattab” mosque in Arad and the “Abdul Wahhab Al-Zayani Mosque” in Muharraq, after completing their maintenance work.


This step comes based on the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to open, restore and develop 30 mosques belonging to the Sunni and Jafari endowments spread across the various governorates of the Kingdom. Part of the mosque development plan.


On this occasion, the head of the Sunni Endowments Council, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Fetais Al-Hajri, praised the constant care given to places of worship in the Kingdom, thanks to the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Follow-up to His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


He added that the Sunni Directorate is making tremendous efforts to complete the maintenance of all places of worship to create appropriate conditions for worshipers to perform their worship in an atmosphere of calm, comfort and reverence, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, wishing everyone the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab and Islamic nations further progress and prosperity.
