Saudi participation in BIAS is outstanding and successful

Manama, November 11 (BNA) The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) celebrates a decade of excellence with the participation of 200 civilian and military delegations and 186 participating companies from all over the world.

The celebration would not be entirely without the participation of Saudi Arabia, the kingdom’s closest partner.

After successful participation in all previous courses, this year Saudi Arabia is participating with 12 different companies under the umbrella of the Saudia Group.

Companies range from airlines, shipping, aerospace engineering, and ground handling services, to real estate development, medical services, catering, and flight academies.

The corporate chalet, exhibition hall, ground show and air show at BIAS highlight Saudi participation.

On the second day of the event, the Saudi Group confirmed the signing of two agreements and the participation of Captain Fahd Sindi, CEO of SAUDIA Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI), in a panel discussion to showcase the latest trends with regional and global speakers in the field of air transport. and aviation industries.

“Participation in such international events is an opportunity to showcase our new products and services, and participation in BIAS in particular is even more important as it offers industry-leading content and first-class networking experience with key regional decision-makers,” said Abdullah Al-Shahrani, General Manager, Communication and Media Affairs. In Saudi Airlines.

Several aviation academies are present in the exhibition hall to present their presentations to an interested audience. Including one of the best academies in the region, Oxford Saudi Aviation Academy.

The academy is located at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and aims to provide training of the highest quality in a safe environment, using the latest equipment inside and outside the classroom.

It is the Academy’s first participation in BIAS to announce the addition of two Robinson helicopters to its fleet of air vehicles and the beginning of training programs for these helicopters.

It also announced a Guaranteed Employment Program as Flight Instructors for Commercial Pilot License Holders or anyone wishing to be in the training industry.

Our vision is to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a landmark in the aviation training industry in the Middle East and the world. Majed Al-Otaibi, director of project management at Oxford Saudi Arabia, said that this is already happening, the academy has signed an agreement to train 1,000 Chinese students in addition to the presence of students from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and other Middle Eastern countries.

“We are also the first academy that trains women to fly in Saudi Arabia, which is historic, and now we have female students who graduated and got their flying licenses.”

Saudi Arabia is also there for the entertainment segment, attendees at BIAS 2022 will be able to check out two Saudia Group aircraft; Boeing 787-10 and Airbus 320neo.

The Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner of Saudi Arabia is the airline’s flagship aircraft. It has been configured to be the most fuel-efficient aircraft that offers better cabin comfort and lower emissions. Flyadeal, the low-cost carrier of the Saudi Arabian Airlines Group, will showcase the Airbus 320neo aircraft, which offers outstanding operational, economic and environmental performance.

As for the world-class flying performances, the Saudi Falcons acrobatics team was always present at all editions of BIAS to give unforgettable performances and demonstrate the impressive level of skill acquired by the international team.
