Manama, November 11 (BNA): Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and governing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), has signed a new agreement with Bahrain Duty Free to acquire more space for luxury retail offerings at Bahrain International Airport. BIA.
The move promotes strong business growth and solidifies Bahrain Duty Free as the leading global travel retailer in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The signing ceremony was held at the Bahrain International Airshow 2022, where both Bahrain International Airport and Bahrain Duty Free were gold sponsors.
The agreement was signed by the CEO of the Bahrain Airport Company, Mohammed Yousef Al-Binfalah, the Director of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Duty Free Company and the CEO, Bassam Al-Wardi. The meeting was attended by Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Gulf Air Group.
The new agreement gives Bahrain Duty Free access to 2,500 square meters of warehouse space in the Air Express Village, which will streamline its operations and boost efficiency. Bahrain Duty Free will move the refrigerated storage area into the warehouse and build a new facility with ground and air access.
