Bahrain condemns Houthis’ terrorist attack

Manama, November 11 (BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia with a booby-trapped drone targeting the commercial and oil port of Qena in Shabwa Governorate, southeast of Yemen.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs denounced the criminal act, which reflects the continued violations of international covenants by terrorist militias, their encroachment on civilian facilities and their threat to navigation and global trade.

In a statement, the ministry renewed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s solidarity with the Republic of Yemen, and its support for the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen Hans Grundberg to maintain the armistice and reach a political settlement on the basis of the Gulf Cooperation Council initiative, the results of the national dialogue and UN Security Council Resolution No. 2216.
