RHF inaugurates “Sanad”, “Absher” initiatives

Manama, Dec. 27 (BNA): The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) held an inauguration ceremony for the two most important winning initiatives in the “Humanitarian Initiatives” competition.

The competition was organized by the RHF this year and resulted in the qualification of 15 initiatives to the second and third phases of the competition. They were announced at the Foundation’s sixth forum, which was held recently under the auspices of His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

In a speech delivered during the ceremony, the Secretary-General of the Health Care Corporation, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for his unwavering support for humanitarian work. He also praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, praising the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the institution.

For his part, the Secretary-General of Qatar Charity praised the tremendous community efforts that resulted in 150 initiatives participating in the competition. He called on companies and institutions to contribute, along with the Foundation, in adopting the rest of the distinguished initiatives that qualified for the second and third phases. Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed had announced the launch of the two most important initiatives that will be implemented and supervised by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, “Sanad” and “Absher”. He referred to the humanitarian and voluntary aspects of the two initiatives and their positive impact on Bahraini society. He thanked Ahli United Bank for its immediate contribution to sponsoring the two initiatives in the first phase.

Bassam Al-Tatan, Senior Manager of Banking Services at Ahli United Bank, confirmed in his speech the bank’s interest in community partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, due to its important role in community service. He praised the great humanitarian role of the Foundation in caring for orphans, widows and needy segments. He pointed out that the bank’s support for the institution is strategic and continuous.

Al-Tattan presented Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed with the bank’s donation of 10,000 Bahraini dinars to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, which will be used to launch and activate the “Sanad” and “Absher” initiatives.
