EWA receives Omani delegation

Manama, Dec. 27 (BNA): Ali Nematallah Al-Nama, Vice President for Distribution and Customer Service at the Electricity and Water Authority, affirmed the depth of the Bahraini-Omani brotherly relations, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness on this. Enhancing joint action in various fields and sectors.

This came during Al-Nama’s speech during his meeting here today with a delegation from the Nama Holding Group in the Sultanate of Oman, within the framework of the Electricity and Water Authority’s efforts to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences with its counterparts in the GCC countries.

The Omani delegation was briefed on the experience of the Electricity and Water Authority in many fields and projects, especially the smart meter project.

EWA’s Vice President of Distribution and Customer Service plans to install smart meters and develop its smart network infrastructure, in line with its efforts to adopt modern technology.

He also reviewed EWA systems related to managing big data for meters and customer service systems.

Al-Namaa praised the level of ongoing cooperation between the Electricity and Water Authority and the Namaa Group, stressing the importance of enhancing continuous cooperation between the engineers of the two sides to benefit from their technical expertise.
