RCSI Bahrain , Alabama University discuss cooperation

Manama, October 18 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and Vice-Chairman of its Board of Trustees met Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Bahrain, Mr. Samir Al-Atoum.

Professor in the Department of Medical Education and Associate Dean for International Education at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, USA, was present.

The Secretary-General was briefed on the programs offered by the Royal College of Surgeons in Bahrain through its cooperation with the University of Alabama, and the quality of the programs offered.

Dr. Sheikha Rana confirmed that the university is fully prepared to provide support and assistance that would raise the academic level of the university and improve the educational services provided to students.

Professor Atom indicated that the university is working in cooperation with the University of Alabama to provide a training opportunity for graduates, by studying an additional year in Birmingham, which in turn will provide the possibility of training in a number of prestigious hospitals in the United States of America.
