BIBF, Indonesian Ambassador discuss collaborations in training, development

Manama, February 23 (BNA) The Director of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Financial Studies, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh, received Indonesia’s Ambassador to Bahrain Ardi Hermawan and the embassy’s executive team.

The meeting discussed various issues of common interest, including mutually beneficial cooperation between Bahrain and Indonesia in the field of training and development.

During the diplomats’ visit to the new headquarters, the BIBF team gave a comprehensive overview of the various training opportunities and development initiatives offered at BIBF in the areas of banking, Islamic finance, insurance, digital transformation, project management, anti-money laundering, sustainable development, leadership and other popular topics and emerging business areas.

The ambassador was accompanied on a tour of the new building to see the various facilities available and the educational infrastructure that provides students with the best training and learning environment.

Ambassador Hermawan said, “It is a great honor for me and my team at the Embassy to have this opportunity to visit the new building of the Institute and have a fruitful discussion.”

“We admire the role of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance and its contribution to promoting Islamic banking and finance in the region. We also look forward to further cooperation and exploring new ideas for cooperation with BIBF in the near future.”

The Sheikh said that he was honored to receive Ambassador Harmawan in the new building.

“Several cooperation initiatives were discussed between BIBF and various training institutions in Indonesia, which will deepen the strong and friendly relations between our two countries, and strengthen the institute’s position as a leader in providing high-quality training and developing human capital globally,” he said.

“We are committed to providing the financial services sector with the best qualifications that the international market has to offer, with our local expertise and international affiliations.”

An increasing number of delegations are visiting the Institute to discuss avenues of cooperation and learn how to make training arrangements for human capital development at the regional and global levels.
