Manama, February 23 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, visited the Royal Bahraini Air Force as part of the Bahrain Defense Force’s celebration of its 54th anniversary.
Upon his arrival, His Majesty the King was received by the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force, Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. His Majesty the King was accompanied by his Personal Representative, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser, Commander of the Royal Guard, Major General His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Commander of the Special Forces of the Royal Guard, Lt. Col. His Highness Sheikh. Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
His Majesty the King was received by Defense Minister Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Commander of the Royal Air Force and senior officers.
In a speech on this occasion, the Commander of the RAF, Deputy Air Staff Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, praised His Majesty the King for his visit to Isa Air Base on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the Bahrain Defense Force. He praised the Bahrain Defense Force’s achievements and development thanks to the directives of His Majesty the King. On behalf of the members of the British Royal Air Force, he expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for the visit to inaugurate a number of systems that have recently entered service in the Air Force and the inauguration of aviation systems whose combat capabilities have been developed.
The Commander of the British Royal Air Force expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for his continuous keenness to modernize the Air Force, pointing to the provision of the three advanced and most efficient systems that were contracted to obtain and will begin to arrive in the Kingdom, successively. : Helicopter system (Bahrain Shield project), air defense system (Spears Bahrain project), and jet aircraft system (Hamad Hawks project).
The Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force presented His Majesty the King with a souvenir on the occasion of the national occasion.
Then His Majesty the King inaugurated a number of modern aircraft that entered service in the Royal Bahraini Air Force. He was also briefed on a number of aircraft developed and inspected in the RAF squadron.
His Majesty the King congratulated the members of the Royal Air Force on the national occasion, praising the efforts of the Bahrain Defense Force members in protecting the Kingdom’s achievements and the security of citizens. He praised the contributions of RBAF personnel in promoting security and peace in the region, under the umbrella of the United Nations and in cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries.
His Majesty stressed his keenness on the continuous development of the RAF system by providing it with the latest weapons and equipment.
