SEOUL, Oct. 18 (BNA) South Korea and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance cooperation in hydrogen, entertainment and other new industrial fields, as well as the overall economy, according to the Ministry of Industry in Seoul.

And the Korean News Agency (Yonhap) reported that the agreement was reached during a virtual meeting between Industry Minister Lee Chang Yang and Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih.

The two sides exchanged the idea that their countries had achieved “actionable achievement” in various areas such as energy, digital and smart infrastructure, and healthcare through active discussions via the platform of the Vision 2030 Committee established in 2017.

Based on the results, the ministry said, they agreed to hold a fourth round of committee meeting early to explore new joint projects, including those related to the transition to a zero-emissions economic system and digital content.

“The two ministers pledged to upgrade their economic cooperation relations as the two countries celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations this year,” the ministry said in a statement.
