Over 124,000 citizens verify names on voter lists in two days

Manama, September 16 / BNA / The Head of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Department, Executive Director of the 2022 elections, Counselor Nawaf Abdullah Hamza, announced that more than 124,000 citizens have already verified their names on the voter lists by visiting the official website of the elections (www.vote.bh), or submitting reports to their local supervisory committees.


Hamzah stressed that the large number reflects the high electoral awareness of citizens, and their keenness to see their data in the lists, see their constituencies, and submit correction requests, if any.


He pointed out that the number of eligible voters who verified the lists in two days this year is greater than in 2018, when only 81,000 citizens verified their names in the lists three days after their presentation.


It is noteworthy that the Executive Committee for Elections announced that the lists of voters in the four supervisory committees will be displayed for a week from 15 to 21 September.


All technical, logistical and administrative preparations were made to receive voters in the four supervisory committees – the Capital Governorate (Khoula Secondary School for Girls), Muharraq Governorate (Al-Hidaya Al-Khalifa Secondary School for Boys), and the Northern Governorate (Yathrib Intermediate School for Girls). and the Southern Governorate (Al-Mustaqbal Primary School for Girls) during the mentioned period from 05:00 pm to 09:00 pm, the committee said.


The lists will also be available electronically on the official election website, voteThe committee added that in order to enable voters to inquire about their constituencies and submit requests to change and correct their data in a way that does not require personal attendance at the centers.
