SCW Secretary-General honours RUW students

Manama, June 12 (BNA): A batch of female students enrolled at the Royal University for Women was honored after their participation in regional and international competitions dealing with commercial and legal arbitration.

Hala Al-Ansari, a member of the Supreme Council for Women, sponsored the ceremony, which was held at the university’s headquarters.

The ceremony was also attended by the President of RUW University, Professor Yousra Mouzaqi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Jean-Pierre Al-Asmar, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, and Dr. Bettina Bastian, Head of the Law Department, Dr. – Al-Nimr and members of the academic and administrative staff.

When participating in these competitions, Al-Ansari ranked third in the student commercial arbitration competition organized by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration. They also placed fourth in Best Note in the Pretender competition.

The student, Fatima Al-Mehzaa, won the eighth place as the best oral argument on behalf of the plaintiff. College students also did well in the Willem C. Vis


International Commercial Arbitration Competition, held in Vienna, Austria.


RUW students also achieved good results in the 9th Arab Mock Trial Competition for the year 2023 in Criminal Law, which was organized by the Kuwait College of Law.


During the ceremony, the sponsor also honored the University of Bahrain team for their distinguished participation in the student commercial arbitration competition organized by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration.
