Interior Minister receives Constitutional Court President

Manama, Jan. 18 (BNA): Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received today Counselor Abdullah bin Hassan Ahmed Al-Buainain, President of the Constitutional Court. He welcomed the official, praising the role of the judiciary in promoting justice and the rule of law. He highlighted the role of the Constitutional Court in the process of national action.

The Minister of Interior stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination to promote justice. He said that alternative punishments are a national project to promote human rights in Bahrain. He said that the project had achieved positive results in promoting the principles of justice and combating crime. During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of cooperation and issues of common interest.
