New York, July 17 (BNA): The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, held a working meeting today with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Portuguese Republic. Francisco André discussed joint cooperation in the areas of social housing and urban planning.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of exchanging experiences and practices between the two countries.
The talks came on the sidelines of the meetings of the High-level Political Forum for Sustainable Development 2023 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Al-Rumaihi highlighted the ministry’s plans to provide housing for citizens in partnership with the private sector, highlighting the development of residential cities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She drew attention to steps to advance urban development and update regulatory standards and requirements to serve all sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Portuguese official praised Bahrain’s tireless efforts in providing housing services and advancing urban developments, stressing his country’s readiness to intensify cooperation and exchange of experiences. .
