Manager – Supply | Job in Qatar by Deliveroo | GulfTalent

Job purpose:
You are responsible for defining the strategic and tactical approach to equipping the required number of new riders in each city and improving the quality of the fleet. This includes an optimum combination of vehicle type, optimizing passenger engagement at peak demand, average hours and duration, and maximizing passenger engagement through internal pipelines. You will work with central teams responsible for local passenger marketing, managing end-to-end diversion and onboarding.

You’ll need to have a good mix of strategic thinking and quick thinking, along with a bias for action. This position is best suited for a person who can set and achieve ambitious goals, actively prioritize the team, is not afraid to get his hands dirty in implementation, and can remain coherent in the face of pressing problems. You will work closely with the lead marketing and supply chain teams to lead cross-functional projects across a variety of business areas.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and implementing passenger acquisition and engagement strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Lead the implementation of our recruitment workflow in all markets and ensure compliance with local laws.
• Evaluate, prioritize and close strategic partnership opportunities.
• Long-Term Supply Planning – Work with Finance & Strategy teams to forecast long-term demand that will influence passenger group purchases and passenger marketing spending strategies in the future.

• Strategic Insights – Building analytics and insights to better understand short- and long-term developments and opportunities for improvements in our passenger supply.
• Build and test new models on board – Assist with craft trials and prototypes that will be piloted across the UAE and Qatar to determine the optimal sourcing process.
• Ensuring that we meet our supply targets across all regions of the country – by monitoring every stage of our supply chain operations to ensure we have the appropriately sized fleet in each region. Develop intervention plans at the district level when needed.
• You will be responsible for developing the local passenger marketing strategy and working with the UK central team to implement it.
• Improving the effectiveness of conversions – whether it’s to improve our communications or provide targeted incentives, increasing conversion rates at every step. Develop data-driven strategies as well as unique and out-of-the-ordinary initiatives to drive conversion.
• Independently design, set up and track all processes related to a passenger’s ride – including goal setting, setup speed, efficiencies, right-to-work compliance, group logistics, etc.
• Utilize numerical, problem-solving, and analytical skills to identify any issues in a timely manner
• Provide effective and tailored communications to influence external and internal stakeholders
