Liverpool regains key players for Leicester game

London, December 27 (BUS): Liverpool are set to welcome Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Curtis Jones back to training after missing out on COVID-19.

Corona virus problems at the club have subsided, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp saying that one young player and two staff members are the people who are currently being quarantined because of it.

Andy Robertson has been suspended, though. Liverpool, who are six points behind second-placed Manchester City after playing one game less, will be more active after their December 26 game against Leeds which was postponed because Leeds had too many absences due to injuries and illness.

On the other hand, Leicester play their second game in three days after losing 6-3 to Manchester City on Sunday.

Tottenham will play their first away game in the Premier League in 51 days, a record for the longest time between road matches in a season.

Tottenham’s last away game was a 0-0 draw with Everton on November 7, and it was Antonio Conte’s first league game.

Since then, Spurs have won four of their five home matches, drawing 2-2 against Liverpool, to stay in touch with the top four.

Southampton won (3-2 over West Ham) and Tottenham (3-0 at home to Crystal Palace) on Sunday and play in just 48 hours.
