Mosque temporarily closed for one week for violating health protocols

Manama, December 27 (BNA) The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments said that two mosques in the Southern Governorate violated health protocols for the yellow alert level.

The Ministry of Justice, after coordinating with the National Medical Task Force to Combat Corona Virus (Covid-19), decided to temporarily close a mosque for a week, until the correct precautionary measures are taken in the correct manner, in line with its keenness to meet public health requirements and ensure the safety of worshipers.

The ministry also urged those in charge of the two mosques to ensure full compliance with the mandatory health protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all.

Procedures include:

– Ensuring that worshipers display the green shield via the “BeAware” application.

– Measuring the temperature of the worshipers and making sure that they do not show any symptoms before entering them.

Ensure that worshipers wear masks when entering and throughout their stay in the mosque.

Social distancing between worshipers and lines.

Not allowing worshipers to remain in the mosque after the end of the prayer.

Closing mosques immediately after the end of prayer.

The Ministry of Justice pledged to intensify its campaigns to ensure the application of all mandatory precautionary health measures to protect the health and safety of worshipers, stressing that adhering to the precautionary health guidelines is a religious and national responsibility.
