CBB raises key interest rate

Manama, March 16 (BNA) The Central Bank of Bahrain decided today to raise the main interest rate in its policy by (25) basis points. The CBB policy key rate on the one-week deposit facility has been raised from 1.00% to 1.25%.

The Central Bank of Bahrain also decided to raise the interest rate on overnight deposits from 0.75% to 1.00%, the interest rate on four-week deposits from 1.50% to 1.75%, and lending rates from 2.25% to 2.50%.
