Manama, Feb. 3 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, received today the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the State of Israel, Lieutenant General. Benny Gantz and the accompanying delegation at the Riffa Palace.
His Highness welcomed Lieutenant-General Gantz and the delegation accompanying the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing his hope that their visit would contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to promote understanding, dialogue, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among peoples. His Highness reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to support international efforts to consolidate peace, stability and sustainable development at the global and regional levels.
His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed that the memorandum of understanding signed by both countries during the visit of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Gantz to Bahrain works to develop bilateral relations and enhance cooperation.
His Highness indicated that the signing of this memorandum of understanding comes on the basis of the work of the Ibrahim Agreements and the efforts made to consolidate regional security.
During the meeting, regional and international developments and issues of common interest were also discussed.
The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and His Excellency the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi.
