Rome, September 13 (BNA) The Speaker of the Arab House of Representatives, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi, delivered a speech before the session of parliamentarians organized by the Group of Twenty Interfaith Forum in cooperation with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP0). In his speech, Al Asoumi highlighted the pioneering role played by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in promoting dialogue between different religions and cultures at all levels.
He pointed out that the prominent initiatives launched by His Majesty the King in this field laid global foundations for promoting dialogue and consolidating a culture of tolerance between religions and cultures, citing the “Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration” on religious tolerance, which was launched in 2017, as a global document committed to promoting religious freedom for all, As well as the establishment of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence in 2018.
The Speaker of the Arab House of Representatives added that the Arab countries launched and adopted many initiatives in this regard, such as the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID), and the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Coexistence, which was signed in. The United Arab Emirates between Al-Azhar and the Vatican, and the establishment of the Interfaith Dialogue Center in the Egyptian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs.
