Manama, November 1 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the role of His Majesty the King in supporting peaceful coexistence, tolerance and acceptance of others.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, stated that “His Majesty’s approach aims to achieve security stability and enhance constructive humanitarian cooperation in the world.”
He said that hosting the “Bahrain Forum… East-West Dialogue for Human Coexistence” reflects Bahrain’s role in serving humanity as a model for tolerance and coexistence.
The forum will be held under the patronage of His Majesty the King in conjunction with the historic official visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Bahrain at the invitation of His Majesty the King.
The ceremony will be attended by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the Council of Muslim Elders The Chairman of the Board of Directors, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, in the presence of another major religious leader.
Sheikh Khaled said: “His Majesty the King confirms, through his initiatives, that he is a man of peace and is keen for peaceful coexistence to prevail among all, according to pillars based on a comprehensive global view.”
He said that Bahrain will be the focus of the world’s attention during the days of the forum, which sheds light on the Kingdom’s unique cultural heritage of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue.
He described the forum, which will be chaired by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Pope Francis, as a historic event based on the initiatives of His Majesty the King, including the “Bahrain Declaration”.
He pointed out that the Pope’s choice to visit Bahrain reflects the extent of the Kingdom’s respect and international appreciation, in light of its unremitting efforts to lay the foundations of an international system that respects human rights and contributes to spreading the values of coexistence and brotherhood. .
He said: “The visit and the forum send a message to the world that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, embraces every human thought and effort that believes and seeks peace and goodness for people everywhere.”
He said that the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence is honored to organize the forum in cooperation with the Council of Muslim Elders and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
