HM King receives letter from Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a written message from the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.

The message dealt with the consolidation of relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to enhance them in various fields, in addition to the latest regional and global developments of common interest.

His Majesty the King handed over the message from the Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Al-Sadiq, who received him at Gudaibiya Palace today.

The minister conveyed to His Majesty the King the greetings and appreciation of the President of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council, and his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain.

His Majesty King Hamad asked the minister to convey his greetings to Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and his wishes for good health, success and more progress for the brotherly Sudanese people.

His Majesty the King welcomed the designated Sudanese Foreign Minister, and affirmed his pride in the long-term relations between the two countries, noting that he looks forward to strengthening bilateral cooperation to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly countries.

His Majesty the King affirmed the Kingdom’s support for all efforts and initiatives of the Transitional Sovereignty Council aimed at achieving peace and stability in Sudan and meeting the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security, development and prosperity.

The Sudanese Foreign Minister-designate expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for the warm reception and generous hospitality.

He also praised the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad in developing the distinguished Bahraini-Sudanese relations.

He praised the kingdom’s original and honorable stances in support of Sudan and its people.
