BDF operates first relief flight to Turkiye

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): In implementation of the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to provide the necessary support to those affected in Syria and Turkey following the devastating earthquake. Which recently rocked both countries, the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) operated the first humanitarian relief flight, via the Royal Bahraini Air Force, to Turkey carrying 55.7 tons, including medical equipment and tents as well as food and logistical aid.

The shipment was sent in coordination with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the earthquake.

The air bridge will continue to send aid for several days as part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s humanitarian efforts towards brotherly and friendly countries.
