Interior Ministry’s Inspector General praises iGA’s efforts to accelerate digital transformation

Manama, November 7 (BNA) The Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, praised the efforts of the Information and eGovernment Authority to accelerate the pace of digital transformation within the government. After visiting the headquarters of the Information and e-Government Authority in Isa Town.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Information and eGovernment Authority, Muhammad Ali Al-Qaed, and the Executive Vice President for e-Transformation, Dr. Zakaria Ahmed Al-Khaja, received Sheikh Khalifa and briefed him on the initiatives of the Information and eGovernment Authority. Sheikh Khalifa also visited the small museum of the Information and eGovernment Authority, which displays its most important features.

The meeting discussed the main services and applications of the Information and eGovernment Authority, which were developed in cooperation with the public and private sectors, and their impact on enhancing government performance. The visit also shed light on the efforts of the Information and eGovernment Authority to provide accurate data and statistics used in decision-making, in addition to its contribution to innovative and creative national initiatives.

Sheikh Khalifa praised the role of the Information and e-Government Authority in promoting the digital transformation of key services during the pandemic, which has enhanced the Kingdom’s ability to keep pace with future developments. He also expressed his gratitude for the hard work of all the employees of the Information and eGovernment Authority.

The commander said that this visit confirms the commitment of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa to apply the highest quality standards in government services provided to the public.

The Leader also highlighted a forum recently held to discuss the government’s digital transformation plan 2022, which was held by the Information and eGovernment Authority in cooperation with other government agencies.
