Manama, July 14 (BNA) His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, affirmed that the Kingdom has a bright history in football, and has a track record of outstanding achievements.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser stressed the importance of the book “The Centenary of Bahraini Football” in enriching the National Sports Library.
This came during his reception here today, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Sheikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, who presented him with a copy of the book “The Centenary of Bahraini Football”.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Director of the General Sports Authority, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, Acting Secretary General of the Supreme Youth Council Marwan Fouad Kamal, and the book’s editorial board.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser indicated that the book “The Centenary of Bahraini Football” documents the rich history of football in Bahrain, praising the efforts of Sheikh Duaij bin Salman, whose idea was the book.
Sheikh Daij bin Salman expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad for his unwavering support, which resulted in the publication of the book that tells the success story of Bahraini football between 1922 and 2022.
