Manama, Feb. 15 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Honorary President of the Bahraini Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, directed to raise the value of the King Hamad Endurance Cup prizes to 130,000 Bahraini dinars. The festival is organized by BREEF at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for his tremendous support for the youth and sports sector, which enabled Bahraini sports to stand out in international competitions. He emphasized the great interest and support that His Majesty the King gave to endurance sports, which led to its development and helped achieve many international achievements.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the increase in the value of the prizes will serve as an incentive for all participants in the Equestrian Festival to do their best to achieve distinguished results.
The value of the prizes for His Majesty the King’s Cup Festival for Endurance has increased to 130,000 Bahraini dinars. 69,600 BD will be allocated to local private stables for the 120 km race. The first place winner will receive 6,000 Bahraini Dinars, while cash prizes will be awarded to the winners in other places. 3000 BD will go to the best women’s placement for three races. A total amount of BD 6,000 will be awarded for the best condition of the horse for 3 races. Other prizes of BD 25,000 will be allocated to the main stages of the races.
A total amount of 26,400 Bahraini dinars has been allocated for the 120 km race for young and junior riders. The first place winner will receive 3,200 Bahraini Dinars while the other winners will receive other cash prizes.
