Government Hospitals, RCSI discuss cooperation

Manama, May 7 (BNA): The CEO of government hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ansari, received here today the Vice President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Professor Cathal Kelly, who is on a visit to the Kingdom.


They discussed the continuous cooperation between the Bahraini government hospitals and the university in Bahrain to develop the health services provided and train medical personnel to provide high-level services.


They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and invest existing expertise and capabilities to contribute to the development of the health system in the Kingdom, and to build medical competencies in the fields of education, training and scientific research.


Professor Cathal Kelly praised the work of government hospitals and their continuous support, which contributed to the development of the educational process at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain over the past years.


It is worth noting that government hospitals signed a cooperation agreement with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland at the beginning of this year, to develop national cadres and improve health services, in line with the Kingdom’s vision to achieve comprehensive health coverage and provide health services at the state level. The highest levels of quality and efficiency.
