Syrian government’s delegations to resume participation in Arab League meetings

Cairo, May 7 (BNA): The Arab foreign ministers decided to allow the Syrian government delegations to resume their participation in the meetings of the Council of the League of Arab States and all its affiliated organizations and bodies, starting tomorrow, Sunday.

The decision was issued today by the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, headed by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, during the special session devoted to discussing developments in the situation in Syria.

Syria’s participation in the meetings of the League of Arab States and its specialized organizations was suspended on November 16, 2011, based on a decision issued by the League Council at the ministerial level after an emergency meeting.
