The Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed, delivered a speech before the forum, where he affirmed His Majesty’s support for the Foundation’s role, praising the King’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and the Board of Trustees. He revealed that the King Hussein Cancer Foundation will issue a book documenting the experience of humanitarian work in Bahrain, noting that the Kingdom has a long record of humanitarian initiatives, citing the resounding success of the “Fena Khair” initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad in 2020.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Association of Banks, Adnan Ahmed Yousef Abdul-Malik, highlighted the banking, financial and economic achievements of the Kingdom since the launch of a series of studied precautionary measures to contain the Covid-19 pandemic. , which led to the economic recovery plan launched by the government last year.

For her part, Ambassador Dr. Bahia Al-Jishi stressed that thanks to the appreciation and respect that Bahrain enjoys, Bahrain has been able to strengthen its relations with other countries and has become a center for spreading the principles of peace, coexistence and tolerance, noting that the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence is a living proof of this reality.

Dr. Al-Jishi praised the tremendous efforts made by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, to make Bahraini women an essential partner in the march of national progress, praising the Kingdom’s march. The keenness to appoint female ambassadors and diplomats, which she said is a sign of the country’s progress.

She also talked about the great role that parliamentary diplomacy plays, and the efforts of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies to train legislators. It also highlighted the Kingdom’s successful international initiatives, including the UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technology in Education, the Isa Prize for Humanitarian Services, and the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Prize for Women’s Empowerment.

In his speech, Mr. Abdullah Al-Hawaj focused on the achievements made by the Kingdom in the educational and academic fields during the prosperous era of King Hamad. He stressed that His Majesty the King attaches great importance to education because of its great role in advancing other development paths. He pointed out that the number of universities in the Kingdom increased from only two to 17 during the past two decades.
