Manama, May 24 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received Sheikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa at the Sofia Palace, on the occasion of the issuance of the royal decree appointing him as governor of the capital.
Sheikh Rashid bin Abdul Rahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa took the legal oath before His Majesty the King.
His Majesty the King congratulated him, praising his experience and efficiency, wishing him success in assuming his national responsibility. He directed to work to meet all the needs of citizens in the Capital Governorate and to upgrade the services provided to them.
His Majesty affirmed that Bahraini citizens will remain at the top of their priorities, as they are the mainstay of the development process. He also praised the efforts of the governors and the role of the provinces in promoting the spirit of national unity, citizenship, communication, cooperation and coexistence among all components of society.
His Highness, the Prince of the Capital, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for the royal trust and valuable guidance, and pledged to spare no effort in serving the Kingdom and its people, wishing His Majesty good health and happiness.
