Bahrain participates in 48th Arab Labor Conference

Cairo, September 18 (BNA) Minister of Labor Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the 48th Arab Labor Conference in Cairo.

The conference was held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on September 18 and 26.

The current session of the conference discusses issues related to the fields of work in the Arab world with the aim of setting common goals and visions and charting the strategic course for the work of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO).

The session discussed a number of topics included in the ALO Director-General’s report, including the digital economy, employment issues, artificial intelligence and new work patterns, and a report on “digitizing and managing social protection systems.”

The minister stressed that the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain confirms the government’s support for joint Arab cooperation to solve the challenges facing Arab labor markets.
