HM King issues Royal Decree (1) of 2022, restructuring Interior Ministry

Manama, January 4 (BNA) His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree No. (1) of 2022 amending some provisions of Decree (69) of 2004 restructuring the Ministry of Interior.

Article (1):

The text of item (11) of Article (1) of Decree No. 69 of 2004 regarding the restructuring of the Ministry of Interior is amended as follows:

11- Customs affairs, including:

Chief of Customs who supervises

A- Directorate of Monitoring and Follow-up of Performance

B – Directorate of Communication and Strategic Planning

C- The General Directorate of Inspection and Customs Security, which includes:

– Directorate of Customs of Seaports

Airport Customs Directorate

– Land Ports Customs Directorate

Customs Security Directorate

D- The General Directorate of Customs Clearance and Services, including:

Directorate of Customs Compliance and Risks

Customs Licensing and Customer Service Directorate

Customs Clearance Directorate

E- The General Directorate of Resources and Information Systems, which includes:

Directorate of Training and Development

– Directorate of Financial Resources

Information Systems Directorate

Directorate of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs.

Article 2):

A new item (N 7) is added to (Second) of Article (1) of Decree 69/2004 regarding the restructuring of the Ministry of Interior, and the rest of the items are renumbered as follows:

7- The General Directorate for Enforcement of Alternative Provisions and Provisions, including:

Alternative Provisions Directorate

– Directorate of Coordination and Legal Follow-up.

– Directorate of Execution of Sentences.

The Minister of Interior shall implement the provisions of the decree, and it shall be effective immediately, and published in the Official Gazette.
