Alba announces 607 promotions, highest in its history

Manama, January 4 (BNA): Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) announced the registration of 600 employees for its 2021 promotions following its continued growth and success at a ceremony held on December 29, 2021 at the company’s headquarters.

The upgrades were based on Alba’s master training plan launched in 2019, the Skills Matrix and Training and Development Program (TDP) and most recently, the Bridge Program launched in 2020.

“Alba’s success depends on the strength of its people and our business is as good as our human capital,” said Ali Al Baqali, CEO of Alba.

We believe that by investing in our citizens, we will prepare them to shape our culture and keep us on track as the premier aluminum supplier for generations to come.

I truly believe that our culture has everything to do with the bottom line – today and in the future.

Despite the unforeseen challenges of COVID-19 since 2020, Alba has made commendable efforts to ensure that its training and development goals remain on track through virtual platforms and e-learning solutions. It is worth noting that in 2021, Alba achieved more than 581,000 training hours and allocated 6.5% of total company-wide working hours to employee capacity building activities – one of the highest rates in Bahrain’s industrial sector.

Alba has one of the largest national workforce in the Kingdom with around 3,200 employees, 84% of whom are Bahraini.
