Bahrain exports BD406 Million worth of national origin products in November

Manama, December 13 (BNA) The Information and e-Government Authority issued its report on foreign trade in November 2021, including data on trade balance, imports and exports (national origin) and re-exports.

The value of imports increased by 13% to reach 453 million dinars during the month of November 2021, compared to 402 million dinars in the same month of the previous year. The top ten countries accounted for 71% of the value of imports, while the remaining countries accounted for 29%.

According to the report, China ranked first in terms of imports to Bahrain, with a total of 67 million dinars, Brazil ranked second with 55 million dinars, and the United Arab Emirates third with 36 million dinars.

Non-agglomerated iron ores and concentrates emerged as the best product imported to Bahrain with a total value of 63 million BD, while aluminum oxide came in second place with a value of 39 million BD, and gold jewelry came in third place with a value of 18 million BD.

The value of exports of national origin increased by 111% to 406 million Bahraini dinars during the month of November 2021, compared to 192 million Bahraini dinars for the same month in the previous year. The top ten countries in terms of value of exports of national origin purchased from Bahrain accounted for 74% of the total value, while the remaining countries accounted for 26%.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked first among the countries receiving Bahraini exports of national origin, as it imported 62 million Bahraini dinars from Bahrain. The United States of America came in second place with 47 million dinars and China in third place with 38 million dinars.

Unwrought aluminum ingots emerged as the largest products exported during the month of November 2021 with a value of BD 107 million, and aggregate and concentrated iron ores came in second place with a value of BD 70 million, and unwrought unwrought aluminum came in third place with a value of BD 33 million.

The total re-exported value increased by 7% to reach BD49 million during November 2021, compared to BD46 million for the same month in the previous year. The top ten countries accounted for 88% of the re-export value, while the remaining countries accounted for 12%. The United Arab Emirates ranked first with 13 million dinars, Saudi Arabia second with 11 million dinars, and Singapore third with 7 million dinars.

Aircraft spare parts came at the top of the list of re-exported products from Bahrain with a value of 7 million dinars, gold bars came in second place, with a value of 5 million dinars, and precious metals came in third place, with a value of 3 million dinars.

As for the trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, it recorded a surplus of (2 million dinars) in the value of the trade balance for the month of November of 2021 compared to the same month of the previous year, which recorded a deficit. (163 million dinars), thus, the value of the deficit decreased by 101% on an annual basis.
