Bahrain attends high-level Al Quds conference

Cairo, Feb. 12 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, invited Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda to attend the high-level conference held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo. The Arab Republic of Egypt under the slogan “Jerusalem, steadfastness and development”.


The conference was held under the auspices of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit.


The minister renewed Bahrain’s position rejecting any measures aimed at changing the historical and legal status of the Holy City of Jerusalem.


He also stressed the need to preserve Jerusalem for its historical, religious and civilizational identity, and to provide support to the Palestinian people.


He stressed Bahrain’s firm position and its support for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people in accordance with the resolutions and their right to establish their independent and sovereign state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital and return. refugees within the two-state solution.


The conference aims to support the occupied city of Jerusalem on the political, legal and developmental levels, based on the decision of the thirty-first session of the Arab Summit held in Algiers in November 2022.
