Finance Minister hails Bahrain-UAE longstanding ties

Dubai, Feb. 12 (BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa praised the long-standing historical relations and firm cooperation linking the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the UAE. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State.


This came during his meeting, in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Rashid Muhammad Al-Maraj, and the Minister of State for Financial Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Muhammad bin Hadi Al-Hussaini.


The meeting came on the sidelines of the Seventh Annual Forum of Public Finance in the Arab Countries, which is being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.


The Minister of Finance and National Economy stressed the importance of building on cooperation between the two countries in order to achieve common goals and interests.


During the meeting, he praised the UAE’s hosting of the seventh annual forum of public finance in the Arab countries and the World Government Summit.


The two sides reviewed the close brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE and means of enhancing financial and economic cooperation for the benefit and development of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
