Interior Minister meets US National Intelligence director

Washington, June 28 (BNA) Within the framework of an official visit to the United States, Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa met today with the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). Avril Haines, in the presence of Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United States Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Deputy Chief of Public Security Major General Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.

At the beginning of the meeting, the National Director of Iraq welcomed the visit of the Minister of Interior, stressing its importance in strengthening bilateral relations.

The minister praised the strong relations and strategic partnerships between the two countries and their joint efforts in promoting regional stability and protecting international peace and security.

He expressed his gratitude for the security cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries, noting the importance of enhancing the exchange of experiences to enhance cooperation in facing the ongoing regional and international challenges.
