Manama, Nov. 28 (BNA): Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, stressed the importance of the role of the private sector and real estate development companies in promoting the social housing sector in Bahrain.
The minister indicated that the government land development rights program represents an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the government and private sectors through the participation of real estate development companies in building housing units.
Al-Rumaihi said that the Urban Planning and Development Authority is keen on preparing construction requirements in various governorates and facilitating real estate projects for the private sector.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Real Estate Development Association, Aref Hajris, a number of members of the association and senior officials of the Ministry.
