Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): Today, the Ministry of Education distributed 13,000 copies of the “My Way to IELTS and TOEFL” guide to Grade 12 students in 41 public secondary schools across Bahrain.
This step comes as part of the Ministry’s plan to train students and prepare them to pass proficiency tests in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
The Ministry has already distributed IELTS and TOEFL guides to parents of students as part of the plan.
Tomorrow, Monday, students of the third secondary stage enrolled in different tracks will undergo an initial test that measures their abilities in the four basic skills required for these proficiency tests, namely (listening, reading, writing, and speaking).
The preliminary exam is scheduled within the timetable for the school day. Next May, students will take a post-test to measure the progress achieved during their internship this semester.
