Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition opens on Friday

Manama, April 21 (BNA) The 48th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition will open on Friday at the Bahrain National Theatre.


The exhibition is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and is organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).


About 60 Bahraini artists and residents are participating in this year’s exhibition, which includes more than 100 artworks that reflect different schools and artistic trends and include painting with different types of materials, video works, photography and sculpture.


The winners of the three annual awards will be announced on Friday.


Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition is the largest and most important art exhibition in Bahrain.


Over the years, it has attracted the most prominent figures in the fine arts movement in the Kingdom, including pioneers and young talents.


The exhibition reflects the comprehensiveness of the Bahraini plastic arts, which form the cornerstone of the local cultural scene.
