Youth Minister praises King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award goals

Manama, Jan. 23 (BNA): Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, met with Acting Head of the Organizations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hamad Waheed Sayyar.

The meeting discussed ways to promote the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment to achieve sustainable development goals in various international forums in the youth sector, and to highlight the Kingdom’s pioneering role in achieving international goals.

The minister stressed the achievements of the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment in achieving the goals of sustainable development.

This award is the first of its kind in the world and represents the faith of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in youth leading the world towards a better future of peace and prosperity.

Tawfiqi stressed the international role of the award in the field of youth and sustainable development.

The minister said that the cooperation between the two ministries aims to enhance the achievements of the award by promoting it in various international forums and meetings while ensuring the participation of various countries, youth groups, institutions and civil organizations in the next session of the award.

A total of 6,176 individuals participated in the award, youth-supporting institutions presented their work and projects and represented 122 countries.
