Cabinet Affairs Minister praises winning Arab Government Excellence Award by five government institutions

Manama, March 13 (BNA) Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa confirmed that five government institutions from the Kingdom of Bahrain won the Arab Government Excellence Award (institutional award category), which achieved the largest number of excellence. The prizes in this Arab competition, reflect the unified government work that is going according to the comprehensive vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He added that the achievement also came as a result of the government’s proactive view of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which aims to continue working according to a government vision based on innovation and excellence.

Al-Mutawa, while attending a ceremony honoring the winners of the first session of the Arab Government Excellence Award organized by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development – the League of Arab States, in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), stated that: Charting a clear path to improve administrative work in the Arab countries and enhance their global competitiveness by encouraging innovation and creativity.

For his part, Dr. Nasser Al-Hatlan Al-Qahtani, Director-General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, praised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s winning of the largest number of awards, which confirms the pioneering royal vision and the distinguished government outlook aimed at continuing progress, improving government performance and enhancing positive competitiveness locally, regionally and internationally.

He added that the winning Bahraini institutions presented initiatives and projects characterized by innovation and keeping pace with future Arab aspirations. He pointed out that the Arab Government Excellence Award, with its Arab perspective aimed at excellence and creativity, came to contribute to the development of work frameworks in government agencies to keep pace with future trends.

In turn, Dr. Raed Muhammad bin Shams, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), stressed that the Arab Government Excellence Award is an Arab honor in the spirit of excellence and creativity of leaders and effective government agencies that have distinguished themselves in serving citizens. He pointed out that the administrative ambition today is based on providing government services that meet the aspirations and are in line with the unified Arab visions on improving public sector services.
