Youth Minister chairs meeting of School Games Tournament High Organisation Committee

Manama, April 19 (BNA) Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayad affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to provide ideal conditions for organizing the school games championship. He said that preparations are in full swing to host the sports event in line with the vision of His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the directives of the First Vice Chairman of the Supreme Board of Directors. Youth and Sports Council (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.


This came during a speech by the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs while presiding over the third meeting of the Higher Organizing Committee for the School Games Championship to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was held online in the presence of the committee members.


During the meeting, the topics on its agenda were highlighted, the recommendations of the second meeting were reviewed, and the ongoing preparations for hosting the school sports event.


It is worth noting that His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa issued a decree to form the Higher Organizing Committee for the School Games Championship, headed by the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs. Its membership includes the CEO of the Public Authority for Public Sports, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, the Director General of the Ministry of Education and Schools Affairs Dr. Muhammad Mubarak Juma, the Secretary General of the British Sports Committee, Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, and the President of the Sports Federation of Bahraini Schools and Universities, Dr. Sheikh Saqr. Bin Salman Al Khalifa and Director of International and Arab Relations Fajr Jassim Hassan.
