Manama, April 27 (BNA) Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Issam bin Abdullah Khalaf announced the award of 30 tenders, worth 30,415,690 dinars, during the first quarter of 2022.
It included 12 road sector projects, nine sewage projects, and nine construction and maintenance projects.
The minister stressed that the approved projects are part of the ministry’s work plan to implement the government’s program to develop infrastructure and provide services that meet the aspirations and needs of citizens and contribute to the national economy.
Khalaf indicated that the projects that were awarded to the road sector amounted to 19,218,697 dinars, the sanitation sector 4,449,287 dinars, and construction and maintenance works 1,282,9363 dinars.
The ministry’s projects under implementation in the first quarter of this year amounted to 152 projects with a total value of BD 711,987.332.
The minister affirmed the ministry’s keenness to follow up on all projects to ensure their completion according to the deadlines set to meet the needs of citizens and residents in the various regions of the Kingdom.
